Just been re-watching that magic series by Iain Stewart on 'How to Grow a Planet' It is so amazing to hear of the growth, stage by stage, of the appearances which have lead to the incredible bio-diversity we have today. Imagine a time way back in history prior to the birth of the first green bacteria which lead to the appearance of all our green vegetation .....instead of a blue sky..we had a purple sky ..and from the air our lovely blue planet would have been the purple planet!!
Imagine a planet without trees...without flowers ....with no creatures on the land ..... what a journey back in time !! Watching the programme with friends, it was good to remind ourselves, our planet is constantly moving and changing ....and aren't we the lucky generation to be able to witness not only the evidence of the past but also the changes happening in our own life time.
